ArtSalon opened on Zichy Jenő utca in 2016 and we are still in the same place: District VI, in the middle of Budapest, a short walk from the Arany János utca metro. Four barbers, one salon, Monday to Saturday.

ArtSalon belongs to Marko Hunyady. He qualified as a hairdresser in 2011, worked in Oslo for a while, then opened his first own salon back home in 2016 – that one became ArtSalon. He has leaned towards barbering ever since, though the scissor work he learned cutting women’s hair still comes in useful when someone would rather not have the clippers. He has taught since 2019, on private courses and in workshops of ten to twelve people, and in 2022 he became international brand ambassador for the British label The Bluebeards Revenge.

Alongside him, Tomi Frankó, Gergő Kelemen and Roli Mészáros work the chairs. Roli used to cut at our Zugló salon on Egressy út; when it closed he moved here, on the same prices as before.

All four keep their own diary and their own price list – which is why our prices are shown as a range rather than a single figure. You see the exact price in the booking form, once you have picked who you are coming to.

We do not work from a template. Before we start we talk about what you want, and about what will actually work with your hair, your beard and the ten minutes you have in the morning – because the best haircut is the one you can do yourself at home.

We are open Monday to Saturday, 9:00–20:00, at Zichy Jenő utca 34; closed on Sundays. If you are not sure who to book with, choose “Any Staff” and you will get whoever is free first.
